Is iTunes 8.2.1 the most recent version before 9?
A requirement for iTunes 9 appears to be Safari 4. Safari 3.2.3 does not work on my G4 and I've been advised not to bother with 4 since 3.2.3 doesn't work. I assume that means 8.2.1 is the latest version of iT I can use?
Please let me know if these assumptions are correct:
Presently I am using 7.7. When I update to 8.2.1 I assume it's a direct update and I don't need to do all the intervening updates along the way.
I also assume that my music library is safe when I do the update.
I think that 8.2.1 does not need Safari 4...
