I recently moved my entire music library to my new MBP using iTunes Home Sharing. (Simply copying everything over in the Finder didn't work--that's what I tried first.) Home Sharing, of course, does not import playlists from the shared library. I manually recreated my Smart Playlists, which wasn't too hard. I then exported all of my manual playlists to be imported on the new MBP.
The problem is, when I import a playlist, iTunes apparently thinks some tracks are missing, even though I have verified that all my tracks are present, and so copies the missing tracks over through Home Sharing, resulting in duplicate tracks. If I simply delete the duplicates, it removes those tracks from the newly imported playlists, defeating the purpose of importing the playlists in the first place.
How can I import these playlists without having either duplicated tracks or missing tracks?
