Play split tracks in mono? ...

Hi all,

I've ripped all of my CDs in Apple Lossless format. There are a couple CDs that are split track with music on one track and vocals on the other. These CDs would be more enjoyable if I could listen to them in mono instead of stereo. Yes, I convert them to mono AAC or MP3 files but would to keep them in AL format. Is there a way to tell iTunes to play songs in mono even though it was ripped in stereo?
