Overseas and wanted to power up my ipod classic for use on trains and planes. Plugged it into my Macbook to juice up while I was packing and iTunes automatically synced my iPod. Perhaps they thought that was a very considerate option ... but not when you don't hold your library of music and videos on your laptop. Now I'm overseas with 10 days left of my trip and no video/audio to keep busy on trains and long flights. ***!!!!!! If there is a way to recover my files from my ipod before the ridiculous ill-conceived auto-sync I would love to hear it .... but I'm pretty sure there isn't any. Seriously, I've NEVER cursed Apple before and I'm beside myself with anger thanks to this stupid feature. Meanwhile, every time I try to delete a stupid piece of trash it asks me if I'm sure about the action because it can't be recovered (yet it can be recovered). Just does not make sense.
