I've put a metric ton of audio files into iTunes, edited their attributes (such as song title, artist, album name, track number, etc), added album artwork and everything else that goes with it. My question is this: are all my edits being saved to the actual MP3 file? For instance, if I back up my music, my Mac dies, and I reload all MP3s and import them back into iTunes... are all my edits going to be retained in the MP3 files? I'd hate to think all my hard work has been for not.
