If the window gets taller than the monitor how do I make it smaller again?

Seems like a simple problem but since Mac OSX only lets you resize from the lower right corner am I totally screwed? Is the only way to scale the window permanently just slightly out of reach??
I'm thinking I can borrow a larger monitor from somebody, connect it to this Macbook, open iTunes, drag the window to the monitor, scale the window just a teency bit smaller and that should fix the problem? Seems entirely stupid to me. Just wish windows were scaleable from the top like in that other otherwise totally sucky OS...
