After I upgraded to iTunes 9, it now seems impossible to manually add new artwork. It's possible to add the artwork file but as soon as I play another track, the artwork seems to disappear.
Even more so, after opening the info box (Apple i), previously added artwork also disappears.
I've recreated this problem on three different systems now.
The library consists out of about 190G of music, a lot of work got into matching this with the right artwork, I'd really hate to lose all that.
