Hey,
I don't know how long it's been doing this, but there are duplications of every single music file in my library. The only difference is, a "1" is added after every file. Example: original file "01 Someone Like You.m4a" - duplicate file "01 Someone Like You 1.m4a".
I suspect TimeMachine has something to do with it (all my laptop files are backed up to a ext. HD).
I obviously don't want these duplicate files, but it's the biggest headache imaginable trying to sort them out, because if I delete the file that iTunes is linked to, it'll still play while the file is in Trash, but as soon as I empty trash, the file is gone and I then have to go back to the extHD and transfer it again.
It's just something I shouldn't have to do, but I don't know how to reverse it, or if I even CAN reverse it. Does this sound like anything that's happened to anybody else?
Pllllleeeeaaaasssssse help, I'm dyin' over here.
